Effective date: October 15, 2026 · How your money is protected on Camplugie.
How escrow protects you
1. You pay. You pay for an item, a food order or a Swift delivery through Camplugie (card, bank transfer or wallet). Your money is held by Camplugie in escrow — the seller does not get it yet.
2. The seller delivers. The seller hands over the item or service, or a Swift runner delivers it.
3. The order completes. The money is released to the seller’s Camplugie wallet when you tap “Confirm received”, when the runner enters your delivery PIN, or when a food vendor marks the order delivered.
4. The seller withdraws. The seller can withdraw wallet money to their bank. A 5% platform commission is deducted at withdrawal.
Never share your delivery PIN until you are holding what you paid for. Entering the PIN completes the order and releases the money.
Cancellations and refunds
Before the money is released: a paid order can be cancelled and refunded. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, through Paystack. Bank processing times vary, so it can take several business days to show in your account.
After the money is released: the order is complete and the funds are in the seller’s wallet, so we cannot reverse it automatically. If something is wrong, talk to the seller first; if you cannot agree, contact us and we will review the case.
Wallet payments that are cancelled before release are returned to your wallet balance.
Failed or duplicate payments: if you were charged but the order did not go through, it is refunded — contact us with your payment reference if it does not arrive.
If something goes wrong
Contact us as soon as possible at info@camplugie.com with your order details and any chat screenshots. We may ask both sides for information, may hold the funds while we review, and will decide based on the evidence — for example, proof of delivery, messages and photos. Our decision on how escrow funds are released or refunded is final within Camplugie, but it does not affect your legal rights.
Your wallet
Top-ups are made with Paystack. Transfers between users are instant and cannot be reversed by us once sent — only send to people you know.
Withdrawals go to the bank account you saved, after a 5% platform commission. You must add a bank account first. Timing depends on Paystack and your bank.
A wallet is a balance for use inside Camplugie. It is not a bank account or a deposit, and does not earn interest.
We may delay, limit or reverse wallet activity that appears fraudulent or breaks our Terms.
Swift delivery fees
The delivery fee is shown before you confirm a request. At the time of writing, Swift deliveries on and around campus are ₦1,000, with a small extra charge for longer trips. Fees can change and the price you see before confirming is the price you pay.
Fraud and chargebacks
If you dispute a payment with your bank instead of contacting us, we may pause your account while it is investigated. Please talk to us first — we can usually fix problems faster. Using Camplugie to cheat other people, launder money or pay for anything illegal is banned and will be reported.
